Burnley Promotion Parade

Concluding my end of season catchup with some photos from Burnley's open top bus promotion celebration from 6th June:

We are getting plenty of practice at doing these, the event being a mirror of the title celebrations two years ago, and we had booked the weather again too.

I took Stevie with me again, he is easily the most laid back of our canine-children, though even he finds this much noise and many people a bit stressful.

I'd say the event was a similar size to two years ago, and was at least as well attended judging by where the crowd started (I stood in a very similar place). We retraced our steps from two years ago to watch the team drive out and then beat them round to the Turf.

Definitely noisier, definitely more flares, and definitely less smug. Burnley is still not normal though, and we'll never be so.
