Welcome to my site! I live in Burnley, UK, with my wife Victoria, our canine children, and our hens.
On this site I write notes and longer articles about learning to code, exploring, following Burnley FC around the country, and training and racing. I snap images along the way, that appear in my dedicated snaps section. I also record all of my training, run, ride, swim, climb, walk and weigh-in data.

Checked in at Dingwall Leisure Centre (Sports centre) — Dingwall, Scotland
Injured and unable to run or ride, I’ve spent as much time in this pool over the last few weeks, as I’ve probably spent swimming in the last decade…
Checked in at Dingwall Auction Mart — Dingwall, Scotland
At the Auction Mart for the best sandwich in Dingwall.
Checked in at Hector MacDonald Monument — Dingwall, Scotland
I'm in Dingwall so figured that I'd join HighLife and can get in the pool every day, while being excited about seeing the Staggies at the weekend.
£30pm for as much swim and gym as you can fit in across 25 leisure centres in the Highlands is phenomenal value.

It's a fairly safe bet that I won't be buying our third shirt this season. I think that is potentially worse than the football itself.

Checked in at Boundary Park (Stadium) — Oldham, England

I’m pretty sure that lineup came out of a tombola. This could be interesting.

Back at the Wham Stadium, avoiding an awful transfer window close out by watching Stanley take on Grimsby Town.
Spotted some commentary on the https://slashfriends.org project in my feed reader. Nice site, but not sure the concept differs from blogrolls.
A /friends page is where you link to the people you like. Remember blogrolls? And the MySpace Top 8? I want to bring that back.
Linking out is generous. It's a free gift that sends traffic, boosts SEO, and says "I like this person."
On route to Carrot Road where Burnley play Norwich City this afternoon.
A long journey and mixed start to the season means that there is plenty of room on the coach today - much needed as I have some work to do en route.

Waiting for Pulp at Live in Wythenshawe Park tonight.

On my way through Bank Hall for Burnley’s first game of the season at home to Notts County in the League Cup.
Mr bayLee saying hi! from his morning walk yesterday.
It looks like another week or so of this unfortunate weather...

Not expecting to be back at Anfield so soon - My Chemical Romance last night.
Something very surreal about not feeling and being ok, while sitting in a stadium with 40,000 other people singing along to I'm not ok.

I created an extension of my indieBlog bundle for Pure Blog, to implement workout mapping, tracking and analytics on your own Pure Blog site.

Demonstration indieFit project is here: https://indiefit.prry.uk
Code is available from the repo here: https://codeberg.org/leeperry/indieFit
Watch out for config/secrets.php which should power the same mastodon/blusky/webmention functionality that I built in indieBlog, but with workout tracking and mapping. There are keys and secrets here to edit. Note that the workout emoji title structure is important for the analytics to work... if that bothers you!
